Healthation Appoints Peter Stapay as Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business Development
Industry Veteran Brings Insight into Evolving Healthcare Markets, Deep Experience in Next-Generation Payer Technologies
Chicago, IL - June 7, 2010 - Healthation, a leading provider of core administrative systems for health and specialty insurance payers and administrators, today announced that Peter Stapay has joined the company as the vice president of sales, marketing and business development. Stapay joins Healthation at a crucial time as the company is responding to increasing demand for its solutions for the rapidly evolving healthcare payment and administration industry. In his new role, the industry veteran will use his healthcare sales and sales management expertise to lead the company in its efforts to help payers achieve agility, flexibility and competiveness with web-based administrative systems that support all lines of business.
Stapay joins Healthation after spending more than 20 years as a healthcare sales and management professional who has been consistently successful in driving revenue growth and executing effectively against strategic plans. Before joining Healthation, Stapay used his specialized knowledge of technology sales, business and market development at TriZetto where he was responsible for new sales of services and products within their Integrated Healthcare Management offerings. Prior to TriZetto, Stapay, Director of Sales, developed and executed a business strategy and marketing approach that resulted in significant revenue growth for First Consulting Group (FCG) in their Payer Practice.
Preceding his position at FCG, Stapay, Regional VP-Sales, was part of a team that spearheaded the initiative to take OAO HealthCare Solutions public. Prior to OAO Healthcare Solutions, Stapay worked as a Senior Sales Executive for McKesson. "Peter's in-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry and extensive sales experience make him a critical addition to our leadership team as we strive to increase our momentum in the benefits and claims space," said Scott Kornhauser, Chief Executive Officer, Healthation. "He will be a key player in our quest to transform the healthcare payment landscape with web-based, real-time adjudication and processing."
Stapay received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN and he completed post graduate work in physiology at the University of Minnesota in Duluth, MN. Stapay also participated in the Doctor of Medicine Program at St. George's University School of Medicine in the West Indies.
