Healthation Announces Enhanced Individual Billing Capability for AcceleHealth
Advanced Functionality Supports Health Plans' Ability to Meet Increasing Individual Member Demand Driven by Healthcare Reform
Chicago, IL - June 1, 2010 - Healthation, a leading provider of core administrative systems for medical and specialty insurance payers and administrators, today announced an enhanced individual billing capability for its AcceleHealth® solution, a next-generation benefit management system that offers payers a single Web-based system for administering benefits across all lines of business. With the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates that recent reform initiatives will bring approximately 32 million currently uninsured individuals into the health insurance market, AcceleHealth's new individual billing enhancements have been designed to help managed care organizations meet the increased demand for individual plans with much greater automation and efficiency.

- Automated lapsed payments at the member level with auto-reinstatement
- Automatic termination for non-payment of premium
- Ability to allow individuals to move freely within manual payment, Automated Clearing House (ACH) and credit card at the member level
- Automated, on-demand invoicing
- Ability to assign commission levels down to the individual member
- Multiple levels of agency/broker relationships at the member level
