Senior Sales Engineer

Summary

The Senior Sales Engineer's (SSE) primary responsibility is to provide technical leadership and support for the sales and business development efforts of a fast growing provider of real time software solutions for the healthcare payer marketplace. The SSE will become proficient in the use of our AcceleHealth benefit management and AboveHealth Web Portal solutions in order to persuasively demonstrate our offerings to prospective buyers. The SSE may also be called upon to support our proposal generation, product development and marketing processes by performing pre-sales needs analysis and opportunity assessments. The SSE will perform these demonstrations both remotely using electronic methods such as WebEx and on-site as required.

The Senior Sales Engineer must be able to:

  • Become a power user of all Healthation solutions
  • Support sales and business development activities by performing solution demonstrations and presentations in-person or remotely (using WebEX or similar technologies)
  • Manage the ongoing implementation of demonstrations
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and responses to requests for information (RFI), proposals (RFP) and quotations (RFQ)
  • Identify business requirements from potential clients and help turn them into business opportunities
  • Manage the delivery of proofs of concept
  • Aide in the ongoing development of your solutions by leveraging your industry knowledge, experience with solutions of similar capabilities, and interactions with potential clients
  • Provide technical support for the creation and ongoing development of marketing collateral, sales presentations, and associated activities

  • Ability to identify and understand customer needs
  • Knowledge of Web applications and software architecture
  • Problem solving ability
  • Strong teaming and leadership skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and related computer technology

Education / Training

  • 4 Year College Degree or equivalent experience
  • Formal Sales Training/Certification Preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years end-user facing software support experience
  • At least one year experience in pre-sales support role
  • Health Benefits Industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of claims processing and benefit management systems preferred
