Senior Sales Executive

Summary

The Senior Sales Executive (SSE) is responsible for prospecting and generating sales of our hosted enterprise application solutions in Health Plans, Payers, Third Party Administrators and other Benefit Management companies throughout the United States. The successful SSE understands the complexities of administering benefits in a rapidly changing healthcare marketplace and is able to use our vision for a digital healthcare marketplace and real-time on-demand technology to uniquely position Healthation as a marketplace innovator. The SSE uses several methods for generating demand and building lasting relationships with C-level executives including telephone, email, web conferencing, on-site visits and partnering with our inside sales team on direct marketing campaigns and tradeshows.

This position may be home based and entails frequent overnight travel.

Responsibilities

  • Generate Demand
    • Cold calling & direct mail to senior business leaders within target market
    • Partner with inside sales and marketing personnel on direct marketing campaigns
    • Attend and/or exhibit at tradeshows and events
    • Network with industry partners and thought leaders
  • Relationship/Account Management
    • Conduct executive presentations and demonstrations
    • Create & maintain executive relationships
    • Identify opportunities and coordinate resources to quickly respond to client needs
    • Team with inside sales team to develop and manage territory
    • Maintain record of communication using Salesforce.com CRM system

Education/Training

  • 4 Year college degree or equivalent
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Formal sales training/certification preferred

Experience

  • Extensive knowledge of health benefits industry
  • Experience presenting and selling complex/intangible solutions to executive level decision makers
  • Experience negotiating contract terms

Reporting Structure

This position will report directly to the Vice President of Sales.
