Project Manager
Summary
THE PROJECT MANAGER manages the new business implementation process for assigned Clients from project initiation through all phases of the implementation process including discovery, design, build , test/train, deploy, transition, close and assists in the transition to Production Support & Maintenance. They build client relationships by delivering a positive on-boarding experience, including clear rules of engagement, orientation to Healthation systems, processes and services, communication of client commitments and expectations to internal partners, and successful transition from implementation to maintenance of the business.
Responsibilities
- Manages the new business implementation process for assigned Clients from project initiation through all phases of the implementation process including:
- Discovery
- Design
- Build
- Test/train
- Deploy
- Transition
- Builds Client relationships by delivering a positive on-boarding experience, including clear rules of engagement; orientation to Healthation systems, processes and services; communication of client commitments and expectation to internal partners; and successful transition from implementation to maintenance of business.
- Client implementations:
- Leading the implementation process, including timely and accurate documentation/sign off of implementation questionnaires and other project related documents
- Tracking of milestones and deliverables
- Timely recognition/notification of risk indicators
- Regular status updates
- Communication of client commitments and expectations to internal partners
- Interpreting and providing context for client requests, ensuring appropriate pre/post production review and client sign off
- Leading site visits and conference calls
- Other related responsibilities to ensure flawless implementations.
- Leading operational initiatives in support of Client business objectives including:
- Providing regular updates to Clients
- Providing appropriate levels of communication between the client and Healthation staff
- Interpreting and providing context for Client requests
- Adhering to QA guidelines
- Ensuring that appropriate pre and post production review and sign off by the Clients is executed.
- Ensures consistent client satisfaction by:
- Collaborating with client teams, multiple business units and with Clients to ensure project deliverables are consistent with client service agreements,
- Achieving appropriate service levels,
- Meeting project timelines and insuring project deliverables meet Client requirements,
- Insuring issues are identified and resolved in a timely matter
- Ability to travel 75-80% of time
Skills
- Ability to effectively supervise and bring together as a cohesive unit: Software Engineers, DBAs, QA Engineers, Trainers and other SMEs to create and lead a successful project team.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Strategic thinker
- Basic knowledge of databases, SQL, XML, EDI and web development and Internet.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Project and other MS Office tools.
Education/Training
- College Degree and PMP preferred
Experience
- 3-5 years Healthcare experience
- 3-5 years experience in project management and/or software system implementations.
- PMO experience preferred.
Reporting Structure
This position will report directly to the VP of Professional Services or Director of Professional Services.
