Account Manager

Summary

The Account Manager manages Client relationships in pursuit of fiscal revenue targets as set by management. Works under limited supervision and alongside other Professional Services team members and product Management in a matrix team environment and relies on experience, judgment and teamwork to plan and accomplish goals.

Responsibilities

  • Builds strong and positive client relationships ensuring client satisfaction, growth and retention.
  • Partners with the Director, Professional Services, VP, Professional Services, to achieve/exceed fiscal year revenue, budget, client satisfaction, quality and delivery goals.
  • Owns relationships and delivery of revenue targets for assigned clients.
  • Manages client relationships in pursuit of fiscal revenue targets as set by management.
  • Works under limited supervision and alongside other Professional Services team members and product Management in a matrix team environment and relies on experience, judgment and teamwork to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Develops and manages strategic plan for assigned clients, including service, financial, growth and clinical initiatives.
  • Responsible for managing business development and delivery objectives within assigned clients.
  • Ensures high degree of client satisfaction and retention through demonstrable results and by effectively leading the service team to achieve client service goals.
  • Effectively utilizes Healthation resources / processes to proactively address client needs and to escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Provides timely feedback of strategic plan performance and outcomes to Healthation Management to ensure service and growth opportunities are maximized and incorporated into the organizations overall strategy planning process.
  • Provides project management and oversight of client initiatives and assists in the interpretation and context of client requests.
  • Manages client renewal process, including review and proposal of pricing terms in lieu of the fiscal revenue plan, mitigate organizational risks with respect to performance guarantees, and unveil opportunities for Healthation product usage as well as client growth and expansion.
  • Builds strong and positive internal relationships with Professional Service, Development and Product Management teams in order to realize the full potential of the assigned clients
  • Organizes and leads client business planning meetings, quarterly and annual executive briefings and internal team strategy planning discussions.
  • Ensures consistent client satisfaction by collaborating with multiple business units and with Clients to ensure appropriate service levels are maintained, issues are identified & resolved timely, and day-to-day processes function flawlessly.
  • Builds client relationships through active participation in the client team process, including adherence to agreed-upon rules of engagement and roles and responsibilities.
  • Adheres to strict procedural and quality standards, including thorough and accurate documentation, testing protocols, and claims analysis.
  • Relies on experience, judgment, business and systems knowledge, and technical skill to plan and accomplish goals
  • Proactively monitors service performance levels and works across the organization to expeditiously resolve issues, escalate service recovery efforts, provide timely feedback to internal and external clients.
  • Utilizes planning, prioritizing, and organizational skills to ensure timely deliverables, high levels of quality, and efficient use of resources to achieve high levels of client Satisfaction.
  • Promptly responds to service failures, resolves issues, and escalates concerns as appropriate.
  • Leverages Healthation's enterprise client relationship management tool for documenting all Client contacts and deliverables requiring follow-up.
  • Responsible for appropriate & accurate documentation of client information, issues, projects, and work requests.
  • Provides Level 1 production support triage, while overseeing assigned issues / production support items and ensures adherence to due dates.
  • Collaborates and cultivates positive relationships with internal and external clients through delivery of sustainable, measurable, accurate, reliable, and timely results that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • This is a client facing position that may require travel.
  • Other duties as determined based on business needs.

Skills

  • Ability to effectively supervise and bring together as a cohesive unit: Software Engineers, DBAs, QA Engineers, Trainers and other SMEs to create and lead a successful project team.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Strategic thinker
  • Basic knowledge of databases, SQL, XML, EDI and web development and Internet.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Project and other MS Office tools.

Education/Training

  • College Degree and PMP preferred

Experience

  • 3-5 years Healthcare experience
  • 3-5 years experience in project management and/or software system implementations.
  • PMO experience preferred.

Reporting Structure

This position will report directly to the Director, Professional Services. This individual will work closely with both client business and technology executives and users. In addition, this individual will work closely with account manager, other peer level project managers, senior and junior level BA's, configuration analysts, data analysts and senior engineers, database/network administrators, various management/non-management individuals within the company, Healthation system vendors and Healthation customers.
